Licensure Requirements

Wisconsin license holders must complete 30 Category 1 (AMA or AOA) credits every two years. Of these, two credits must address prescribing opioids and other controlled substances. Physicians who do not hold a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration number to prescribe controlled substances are exempted under the rules.

For full details, visit the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
